Build Your Future in the Skilled Trades

SkillBridge NB's Construction Pre-Employment Training Program gives you the practical foundation, safe work habits, and confidence to start strong in one of New Brunswick's most in-demand industries.

Construction Pre-Employment Pathway

A Practical Head Start Toward the Trades

The skilled trades are built through experience, repetition, and time. No short training program can replace years on the job — and that is not the purpose of this one.

Construction Fundamentals is designed to give learners a strong and practical start. This pre-apprenticeship program helps students build confidence, develop work-ready habits, and gain exposure to the tools, materials, safety practices, and expectations of the construction industry.

Why This Program

Students do not just receive theory — they are introduced to the expectations, pace, and habits that matter on real job sites.

Pre-Apprenticeship Training

A structured head start toward apprenticeship — building confidence, safe work habits, and practical exposure to the construction industry before you enter the workforce.

Hands-On Learning

Practical demonstrations let you connect classroom instruction with real-world application. Two weeks of practical demonstration time per program bundle.

Industry-Relevant Skills

Tools, framing, materials, safety, equipment maintenance, and jobsite professionalism — the same core areas that support stronger entry into construction environments.

Built for Beginners

No prior construction experience required. Even students with no previous tool knowledge can build confidence and gain meaningful entry-level understanding.
